Sound of Pop is an independent record label as well as a music publishing and licensing company based in Nova Scotia, Canada. Glenn, who is a fellow cyclist, approached me about redesigning the website.
The core of what the label does revolves around their artists. The homepage highlights key artists in two ways: First, with a slideshow containing important news items, and second with a selection from Sound Of Pop’s roster. This selection is controlled by the site administrator, making it easy to swap artists on the homepage.
All audio and video on the site uses HTML5, ensuring this important content will accessible to mobile devices. The site is built on WordPress.
As part of the website redesign, I also gave Sound Of Pop a new logo.
